The dogs living under the same roof spend their days as a close-knit pack, looking after the other members of the group just as they do their beloved humans. The elderly dog seen in the video below is fortunate to have companions who care for them so much. Even though the other dogs try to signal that swimming is no longer really for them, the stubborn old dog jumps into the water anyway – only to realise for themselves that it was a very bad idea. Fortunately, one of their companions helps them swim back out.

Alongside proper nutrition, it is important to create a safe environment that takes the dog's changing abilities into account, and to ensure they receive the right amount and quality of exercise. If a dog is struggling with health problems due to their age, we cannot expect them to behave in the same way they once did.
