This Is How Ozzy Osbourne's Dogs Lived: Anyone Would Have Been In Their Place (Video)

Many of the dogs in Ozzy Osbourne's family are known to us, and the star was a particular fan of bulldogs, but has also adopted several rescued dogs over the years.

The rock legend died just two weeks after his last Black Sabbath concert at the age of 76. But Ozzy Osbourne's legacy is not the only one in rock music history. You might think that the musician, who younger generations might only know for biting the head off a bat at a concert, had the same attitude towards other animals. But Ozzy was a real, responsible owner - and he thought the bat wasn't real either, which is why he put it in his mouth on that occasion. Ozzy Osbourne loved animals; especially dogs.

Ozzy Osbourne's dogs have lived a quality life

The Osbourne family have owned several dogs over the decades, many of whom we know by name, including from their reality TV show about the family's life and their red carpet appearances. Their dogs have been an active part of their lives; not just pets, but companions. They regularly took Lola, Minnie and Rocky with them to concerts, premieres and interviews. They were not purebred, pedigree specimens, but rescued dogs.

As well as Lola, pictured above, there was another bulldog living with her, Bugzy, who had come to them from a shelter and had been badly burned.

Ozzy has often spoken of his close relationship with his dogs and the comfort they often give him.

In the online Wikipedia-like encyclopaedia of the Osbourne family, four-legged family members have a special section. Which is no wonder, as there were times when they had 11 dogs and even slept in the same bed.

Clearly, we are not wrong to think that the Osbournes' lives were anything but ordinary. Ozzy himself grew up in a big family, born fourth in a family of six children. His relationship with dogs was not exactly ordinary, and anyone could see it on television screens in the 2000s. As the number of four-legged friends in their household increased, their already chaotic lives became increasingly difficult to bear. But the solution they chose was truly exemplary.

They showed live what an expert can do when a dog has a problem

Many of Ozzy's dogs have had training and socialisation problems, mainly because the star spoiled them. That's when they hired a therapist, a trainer, who helped them assess the source of their problems and offered solutions. However, the trainer's association with Tamara, the pack dog and the Osbourne family was not without its problems.

"You thought you'd seen it all, but now, now we have a fu****ing dog therapist. Shit," Ozzy declared.

However, with the help of a specialist, they not only managed to eliminate the visible problems - the four-legged creatures chewing and peeing all over everything - but also admitted in public that even a rock star might need help. They learned to set boundaries that allowed Ozzy to live happily ever after with his pets.
