When a wolf is so lazy that it doesn’t even get up to howl (video)

This female wolf stretched out so comfortably on the soft ground that she even responded to her companions' calls while lying down.

Of course, the howl still had its effect even while lying down, but the fact is, it’s hard to take it as seriously in this form.

After Alawa (the lying female) and Zephyr (the male standing behind her) heard the howl of one of their pack members from the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem (USA), they responded. Alawa leisurely stretched out first, her fur still ruffled on the side of her head from a relaxing nap, then she let out her howl. In the case of wolves, howling serves many purposes besides strengthening pack cohesion and bonds.
